If you have a Eurozone bank account, you can pay for your gifts using a one-off SEPA Direct Debit payment. Instead of your card details, you enter your bank details, which sets up a transfer of the gift value from your account to Jéssica and Christian.
This information is secure, and is not made available to us. Also, even though SEPA Direct Debit is often used for recurring payments, the funds are only taken once and the payment is never repeated.
The payment is processed by a company called GoCardless. GoCardless is based in the UK with offices in London, San Francisco, Paris, Munich and Melbourne. GoCardless process more than $10bn in transactions a year.
More information on Direct Debit payments and GoCardless is available here.
We’ll notify Jéssica and Christian of your gift payment right away, but the funds won’t be taken from your bank account immediately. SEPA Direct Debit collections take place after a few days. Your payment will then be automatically transferred to Jéssica and Christian’s bank account.
